Remote Deployment is Easy!

Step 1 - Create the Auto-Activate File

Log in to your account at www.lightinganalysts.com (agi32.com, elumtools.com).

Select the button for the License Portal (below). You MUST designate and ADMIN for the account in order to generate remote deployment information.

Once an ADMIN has been designated, in the "Licenses" section notice the Remote Deployment is enabled by default for Multi-user licenses (below).

Under the "Users" section, optionally add all the members of your team. You can select any member to receive the remote deployment file via email by clicking the icon (below). This is usually the primary account administrator. You can designate Admin rights (other users cannot login) by editing and setting this property for a team member.

Clicking on the icon for a team member will advance to the screen below. All products in your account with Multi-User licenses are eligible to be included.

Select the products to be included in the Auto-Activate file.

Email or Download the Auto-Activate file.

Logout of your account.

The downloaded (or emailed) file is a very small TXT file as show below.

Step 2 - Distribute the Auto-Activate File

Install the software to be activated. To do a silent installation:

  • Syntax for EXE file (AGi32/Toolbox): <SetupFile> /s /v/qn (note: there is a space after /s)
  • Syntax for MSI file (ElumTools): <MSIFile> /quiet

NOTE: MSI setup file is NOT available for AGi32 or Photometric Toolbox.

Copy the Auto-Activate file to the following folder on each workstation:

C:\ProgramData\Lighting Analysts\Subscription\AutoActivate

NOTE: The C:\Program Data folder is a Hidden folder by default. To reveal it in Windows Explorer click on the View tab and then check the box labeled "Hidden Items" in the Show/Hide section of the ribbon (below).

The software will automatically activate on the first start-up and the end user will not see the License Manager.

The License Portal will now show the various "Auto-Activated" computers by Computer name with users email address space populated with the text "Auto-Activated" (below). The Administrator can optionally edit the row and change this to the users email or name for clarification.
